A lot of my work is concerned with trying to fit in while your growing up, this project is based around that theme too. I've been using Argos and Index catalogues which teenagers had ticked all of the cool jewellery in. I've drawn all of the coolest ones as chosen by them (and have made them into drawn earrings as well).
The book also features the ladies who made the style of jewellery popular to wear. Its like the complete advice guide to getting clued up on how to wear the best teen jewellery.

"There's incisive social observation in Sarah Doyle's book of illustrations; HELPING YOU FIND THE RIGHT JEWELLRY, which follows the journey of jewelry from the album sleeves of female hip-hop icons to the pages of the Argos catalogue and then onto the earlobes of teenage girls in Peckham. Prices and catalogue numbers are helpfully included to assist you in making those all important budget jewelry purchasing decisions. It's Elizabeth Duke, name checked by Goldie Lookin' Chain that we're talking about here rather than Jacob The rap royalty Jeweller, as mentioned by Fifty Cent. Each copy of HELPING YOU FIND THE RIGHT JEWELLRY comes with a different pair of enormous plastic laminated earrings - mine are Victorian style bow creoles!" - Mark Pawson - Variant Magazine.
