Ice Sculpture at Kirkby Stephen Winter Wonderland

4th December 2004

As part of the Kirkby Stephen Winter Wonderland town transformation, Fold commissioned two artists to create ice sculptures outside the Masonic Hall. Kate Robinson and Alan Cairns from Glasgow-based collective Grinneal created these abstracted forms from 1/4 tonne blocks of special sculpture-grade ice. The following morning the sculptures were moved to the cloisters in the market square so that more visitors could enjoy them.
