getting out there:

A591 Ambleside to Keswick then the Armboth minor road along the west side of the Thirlmere. The installation can be heard at two locations.
Armboth: park at Armboth car park and walk approx 30 metres south on the disabled access path to a point overlooking the water.
Dobgill: park at Dobgill car park , follow the path approximately 100 metres over a footbridge to a point overlooking the water.
By public transport: Bus 555 [Stagecoach Lakeslink Carlisle to Lancaster] from Windermere and Keswick

Bring your FM radio (maybe on your mobile phone) and headphones to Thirlmere and listen to the sounds of the city under the waters. Stand on the edge of the reservoir at Armboth or Dogbill overlooking the water. Tune your FM radio to 88.0 MHz. Let your mind drift while you listen to the sounds of the city before you, rising out of the water.
