  FRED marketing images. FRED comes out of hibernation once a year and inhabits everywhere.




When i was working on the image for FRED i wanted to portray just how much was going on in the festival by making an image really compact and busy with lots of little narratives and individual characters and events making up to a larger picture.
I came to think of FRED as a sort of 'season' because it comes once a year, i liked the idea that FRED was coming out of hibernation and
that everything in its entirety was FRED from the hills and the clouds to the stones. I gave everything a face to try and accentuate this point, not wanting people to be confused and think that any one particular character was FRED. Art is FRED!
