In her installation Shanti aims to answer the question, ‘Why Do Walkers Walk For Pleasure?’ Through interaction with the public, specifically walkers of the Coniston area, Shanti has managed to capture the essence of her research and to express her desire to create art about a specific location. By focussing on this location Shanti has created a piece that connects the landscape to the walkers and addresses their experiences, offering the Artist a fulfilling experience and opportunity to explore her own personal views and those of others, to portray the effects of walking for pleasure.
