FRED - it's an art invasion

Christine Stringfellow

c.art.ed for FRED

Description:

Following on from the hugely successful and award-winning "The Big Draw in Fylde 2003", Christine Stringfellow has designed a Big Draw activity for FRED.  People will be invited to make a drawing or embellish a word or phrase on prepared paper around the idea of “water”.  These drawings will then be fastened together within a shiny covering to make a patterned fabric resembling a travel rug, FRED’s favourite blanket, and represent the water associated with Cumbria.

c.art.ed for FRED will be free and suitable for all ages and abilities. The Artist will be on hand to help and encourage participants and to discuss the larger artwork.

c.art.ed for FRED is part of the Artists ongoing practise to initiate, coordinate and deliver site-specific projects designed to accommodate different agendas whilst being relevant & interesting to the participants.
