FRED postcard by Graham Rawle

FRED returns

Last year FRED came, saw and conquered! 64 artists from across the north of England and beyond took their work into the big wide world. 34 events across 55 locations made FRED one of the biggest artist-led events in the UK.

Now we're about to do it all over again. Extended over 16 days, this years event promises to be bolder and brasher. Watch this space for details....

Can you find the postcards?

This year's guest designer is Graham Rawle. Probably best known for his weekly series "Lost Consonnants" in the Guardian newspaper, Graham has created a series of 6 postcards and posters "Can you find the art?" specially for FRED 2005. Graham Rawle has also designed the artwork for the printed guide book this year and his designs will feature on all FRED objects. Postcards and guide books will be available from tourist information centres throughout Cumbria from September.
